Review of the Riverwalk Properties in Jaco Beach

Review of the Riverwalk Properties in Jaco Beach

The Riverwalk Beach properties in Jaco Costa Rica are 8 private titled beachfront homes in a gated community with 24 hour security. These are 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath homes with property management and a rental program for those looking for an investment. Four of the homes are already sold and there are four reaming to be purchased. $250k with financing available. Now the unexpected gem for these properties that have a community pool is the walk along the river to the beach behind them. As one of the most quiet and secluded areas in Jaco, I am not surprised I never saw this before. I don’t expect these homes to last long on the market. If you or anyone you know may be interested in these properties , contact our office today.

New Hospital in Parrita, Costa Rica

New Hospital in Parrita, Costa Rica

On April 19th 2013, Doctor Edgar Carrillo experienced the realization of a dream. After 9 years of hard work, a symbolic ceremony took place to mark the laying of the first stones of this new facility. Functionaries from the Caja Costarricense del Seguro Social and the Ministro De la Presidencia, employees, volunteers as well as members of the public were in attendance.

20130618-113745.jpgThis new hospital will be the largest in the entire region and will bring a new level of medical technology and services to the Central Pacific Coast of Costa Rica. The current clinic located in Parrita serves mainly local residents, however once completed this facility will be able to service residents from Jaco to Esterillos to Quepos. Having a hospital of this size removes the need to drive to hospitals in San Jose for many. Being only 10 mins from our development in Esterillos Este, residents of our community will have easy access to this new facility. On several occasions we have had to take our children to the current clinic in response to allergic reactions or other sickness and have found the patience and support of the staff to be warm and welcoming. Another unexpected benefit has been the access to full service emergency health care, including some minor dental work and medications all at no cost.

Our team at Higher Life sees the new development of this hospital to be a huge advance forward for the community and will seek ways to promote and support its future development and expansion.

Updating the site

Recently we went through a major update after migrating our website to a secure and dedicated server. In the process some of our posts were lost and it was very difficult to transfer our photo gallery in it’s past state. We will be adding a completely new gallery along with some new sharing features and also adding in the old posts that did not make the transition in the next few weeks, so stay tuned for a plethora of pictures from our past and recent endeavors.

Chinese President visits Costa Rica

Chinese President visits Costa Rica

On Monday The President of China will visit Costa Rica. This is shortly after the Costa Rican President Laura Chinchilla’s visit to China just last year. Relations between Costa Rica and China have brought concrete benefits to Costa Ricans, so the Central American country’s ties with the Asian nation are important, says former President Oscar Arias Sanchez.

“Friendship and understanding have been consolidated”, said Arias, when diplomatic relations were established in 2007. Then in 2010, the two countries became partners and signed a trade agreement opening the door to endless business ventures, investment and development.

Arias, the 1987 Nobel Peace Prize winner, spoke with Xinhua ahead of Chinese President Xi Jinping’s visit to San Jose. Costa Ricans, he said, “are the Phoenicians of the 21st century, because we produce what we do not consume and we consume what we do not produce, and we are doomed to trade with the whole world.” “For us, China is the second largest trade partner”.

He also praised the establishment of a Confucius Institute at the University of Costa Rica during his presidency. The institute has fostered exchanges between the two countries, he said, adding that he expects increasing scholarships in the future to provide more opportunities for Costa Rican students.

China has excellent scientific institutions, and “here … we need more technicians, more engineers, more computer science experts,” he noted.

Costa Rica needs to open up more to China, especially to Chinese tourists and investors, whose growing purchasing power will benefit the Costa Rican people, Arias said. Apparently there are plans for direct flight from China to Costa Rica and back.

Costa Rica carries China “in its heart and mind” and Costa Ricans will never forget the great contributions made by the Chinese people to the Central American country, he said.

Costa Rica: World Leader for the Environment – VIDEO

With over half of the country covered in woodland and some of the highest levels of biodiversity in the world, Costa Rica is encouraging landowners to preserve their forests to help the country become carbon neutral by 2021. As developers in this incredible country, it is extremely important to ensure that we are adhering and some times exceeding the environmental standards set out by the government agencies. As we continue to construct roads and other infrastructure, it is an almost daily habit to inspect the work and ensure that we are respecting the environment we are responsible to protect here is Esterillos Este, Costa Rica. Our Eco-Lux project, Vista De Sueños,  is called ‘Eco-Lux’ with the first emphasis on ‘eco’. We place the first priority on preservation of the natural resource, followed by the Luxury amenities. It’s for this reason that when you visit our project you will see roads swerving around trees (rather than clear cutting, like other developers) and large green spaces that we have preserved for the residents, human and animal, to enjoy for the rest of time. We believe there is a satisfying and enjoyable balance experienced by having a luxury estate within a neighborhood that is sustainably built.

You are invited to contact us and arrange a visit so we can show you how we are working to build an ecologically sound community here in Esterillos Este, Costa Rica.
We are extremely excited and dedicated to doing our part in helping Costa Rica attain the illustrious title of Carbon Neutral by 2021 and showing the world that they can do it too!
